Although serving for 23 years of campus ministry, in the past year Shelby has become even more aware of the presence of Jesus in his life and the impact of the gospel on any number of daily decisions: how he interacts with his family, serves at Cru, handles relationships, and even drives his car. He is learning the importance of preaching the gospel to himself daily and how Jesus meets us in the seemingly mundane moments of everyday life. Come and hear Shelby share the truths he’s discovering through Scripture and personal stories, and come learn how Jesus wants to flood every aspect of your life as well.

This is an important opportunity to begin or deepen fellowship with other brothers from SLPC. In addition to solid teaching and helpful discussion, we’ll have good food and a great time together. Coffee Cafe is fine, but there are some conversations you can only have when you’re away together sitting around a roaring campfire!

Shelby Abbott is an SLPC missionary serving with Cru’s FamilyLife ministry. He has authored DoubtLess: Because Faith is Hard, What’s the Point?, Pressure Points: A Guide to Navigating Student Stress, Jacked, and I Am a Tool (To Help With Your Dating Life) and recently started hosting a podcast called Real Life Loading… (check it out here). His passion for ministry has led him to speak at churches and college campuses all over the United States. He is married to Rachael (daughter of Ed & Marcia Mohoric) and they have two daughters.
