Bible Studies:
Wednesday Morning Bible Studies meet weekly from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., with coffee, tea and childcare available each week. This fall we have three study options:
Wednesday Morning – Classroom 7
This women’s adult group will study the book of Acts beginning September 10th at 9:30 a.m. using the Engaging God's Word guide from Community Bible Study. Our weekly lessons will cover about one chapter of this action-packed book per week, drawing upon numerous Old and New Testament passages to enhance our understanding of the early decades of the body of Christ. Our goal in this study will be to know more of our Savior, to rest in his mercy and grace, and to have hearts and minds ready to share the joy of our salvation with others. Books will be available in class ($23). Please join us in Classroom 7 on a regular basis or whenever your schedule allows. Contact Jill Sprik (jillsuzannesprik@gmail.com) for more information.
Wednesday Morning – Conference Room and via Zoom
This class will conclude its study in the gospel of Matthew—which presented a wellspring of instruction on daily Christian living. Beginning September 10th at 9:30 a.m. we will be continuing Volume II of Jon Nielson’s guide on the book of Matthew. Books will be available in class ($12). You may also purchase this book on Amazon. We will then move into a study of Job – Trusting God when Suffering Comes, by Lydia Brownback. This book will also be available in class ($10). If you are unable to join us in the conference room, please feel free to join us via Zoom. For more information and questions about how to join us by Zoom, please contact Janet Albrycht at (j.e.albrycht@gmail.com).
Wednesday Morning – Mom’s Bible Study, Fellowship Hall
Moms! have you ever thought the Old Testament God as totally different from the ministry of Jesus in the New Testament, and wonder how it all fits together? Join the Mom’s Bible study beginning September 10th at 9:30 a.m. to learn how the gospel, pointing to Jesus, is alive on every page of the Old Testament! This study presents an opportunity to better know the gracious character of God and appreciate the richness of the gospel as we grow in our understanding of God’s perfect plan for our salvation through Jesus even before time began. We will be using The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis, part of Nancy Guthrie’s Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament Series. Books can be purchased in class ($12). Childcare will be provided! For more information contact Emily Goeller at (sprikit@gmail.com).
Wednesday Evening – Home of Nyla DiGiorgio
This women’s group will be studying the book of Luke beginning September 10th at 7:00pm. The gospel of Luke captures the vivid details of the person of Jesus Christ, from the announcement of His coming to His ascension into heaven. In this study you will engage with conflict stories, miracle stories, proverbs, and passion, and you will encounter the greatest love the world has ever known. Please join us for this fascinating study at the home of Nyla DiGiorgio. For more information, please contact Nyla at (nyla.digiorgio@gmail.com).
Thursday Evening – Conference Room and via Zoom
The book of Acts is set within the larger story of the outworking of God’s plan to save for himself a people from every nation—the story that runs from Genesis to Revelation. Readers will peer into the lives of the apostles in the days following the resurrection and ascension of Jesus as they experienced new power from the indwelling Holy Spirit and a new understanding of the Old Testament scriptures. We will be using Nancy Guthrie’s Saved, Experiencing the Promise of the Book of Acts. This class begins on Thursday, September 11th at 7:00 p.m. Feel free to join us via Zoom. Books can be purchased in class ($18). For more information, contact Freda Rawlings at (rawlings777@msn.com).
