  • Why is the Church often silent about sex? Or, if it speaks, acts like it’s something shameful?
  • Does gender matter? What’s the big deal with gay marriage if two people love each other and are committed to fidelity?
  • Pronouns, bathrooms, youth athletics… How should Christians respond to the myriad situations created by the transgender issue?
  • Why is pornography a problem?
  • Why is sex reserved for marriage, especially since the marital age is so much later than it used to be? And doesn’t it make sense to live with someone first anyway, to be sure the relationship works?

In decades past, there was a greater shared sense of sexuality morality, even among those outside the Church. No more. In fact, many secularists actually decry biblical sexual ethics as unhealthy and oppressive. Today, most Christians have neighbors, co-workers, and extended family who identify as gay or lesbian, and many prominent voices within the Church are calling for a full embrace of those who identify as LGBTQ+.

How should Christians respond to this cultural moment? Have we misread the Bible? How can we engage unbelievers when maintaining a biblical sexual ethic is seen as bigoted? What does it look like to love fellow Christians struggling with these issues? David White will spend 6 weeks teaching the Christian Worldview Sunday School class and address all these issues, as well as laying a foundation for the Bible’s sexual ethic. [Hint: it all has to do with Jesus!]
