“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.” (1 Corinthians 9:24)

Athletes without a competitive edge don’t spend much time on the field. In sports, like much of life, we value diligence and hard work. We want to see our sports teams push themselves to the limit. Why do we take a more laidback approach to the Christian faith? Does being saved by grace mean it doesn’t really matter how I live? What would it look like to live out your faith with greater intentionality?

Men! Join us February 25-26 at the Traber Center and be challenged to live a deliberate faith. Because the Bible calls us to live out our faith together, in community, participating in the retreat is a great first step. Our speaker, Dr. Timothy Witmer, will help us think through the importance of relationship (with God and others), how to be intentional as God’s ambassador in the home and workplace, and the call to live with integrity in all of life.

This is an important opportunity to begin or deepen fellowship with other brothers from SLPC. In addition to solid teaching and helpful discussion, we’ll have good food and a great time together. Coffee Cafe is fine, but there are some conversations you can only have when you’re away together sitting around a roaring campfire!
