Camp Treasure Island is a free week of fun on a "tropical Island" in Newtown Square, PA for all children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade

July 12: 7:00 - 8:00 PM

August 6: 11:45 - 12:45 AM

What to Expect at CTI:

SPECIAL THEME DAYS

TUESDAY: Crazy Hat Day - wear an old favorite, or wear something you create!
WEDNESDAY: Water Day - absolutely everyone will get wet - dress accordingly!
THURSDAY: Clash Day - break the rules of style and color and let the kids dress themselves!
FRIDAY: Island Day - time to dig out the flowered shirt!

 

DAILY BIBLE VERSE

Each day a new Bible verse will be featured at camp. On Tuesday through Friday, campers can earn points for reciting the Bible verse of the day when the camper arrives at camp.


SHARING WITH OUR COMMUNITY

We accept donations of school supplies to share with classrooms in need. Donations of the following supplies to aid these communities are accepted in the big boat in our lobby every day during Camp:

  • Rulers
  • Notebooks
  • Pens
  • Pencils / Colored Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Crayons
  • Band-Aids
  • Gauze
  • Neosporin
  • Cotton Swabs
  • Thermometers
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Dental Floss

FRIDAY NIGHT CLOSING PROGRAM

On Friday evening at 7:00 PM, each camper is invited to bring the whole family to the camp’s closing program, to see a slide-show of photos from the week, hear songs the campers know, and enjoy refreshments out on the lawn. The final act of the week-long performance of Treasure Island Players will take place here.

WHAT TO WEAR?!

Campers and Counselors may wear a bathing suit every day under clothes, as water games will get everyone wet every day!  ALSO, we can expect to get MESSY every day at the craft tent!! Please expect to get WET and get MESSY at Camp.

HEAT ALERT! In very hot weather, campers should definitely EAT BREAKFAST!!! This helps prevent feeling sick from the heat. Campers can expect to get a bit wet every day when outside for games.  Drinks are served throughout the entire morning on very hot days. Wednesday is Water Day, but water games will be open every day, so campers should wear bathing suits every day!

DROP OFF and PICK UP

TRAFFIC MAY BE SLOW ON ROUTE 252 .

Arrival

Please follow directions from Parking Attendants and stay in your lane of traffic. Campers can be dropped off in the parking lot in front of the church. Parking Attendants will send them straight to the Check In Table every single day for a name badge, and then on into the church. (If you truly need to park to walk in with your child, please park out on the residential roads across from our driveway Exit. Please park on the house-side of those streets only.)

Departure 

Please pull into the parking lot and stay in your lane of traffic to park. Campers will be dismissed in front of the building to wait behind a table assigned by last name (by alphabet). You can walk your campers walk to your car. Please then drive away promptly as other cars are waiting to park.

No Crosswalk

The Marple Police have warned there is no legal crosswalk across Rte. 252, so please do not park up by the tennis courts and walk across the intersection!

CHILD SAFETY POLICY

There is nothing more important than providing a safe place for the children under our care to learn the Story of God’s love and grace made possible through our Lord Jesus Christ. Springton Lake Presbyterian Church is committed to providing that safe and secure environment for all these children.

SLPC's Child Safety Policy provides formal screening and training for all adult childcare volunteers to reduce risk. Our Child Safety Policy provides specific procedures and establishises protocols for notification and direct reporting of inappropriate behavior to ensure our compliance with PA law.
