White, David

David White was called to Pastor at SLPC in January 2024, after serving as an Associate Pastor since September 2019. Having labored in parachurch ministry (distinct from a specific congregation) for almost 20 years, David is delighted to intentionally be in community and grow alongside a particular body of believers in a local church. He is the primary preacher, casts vision for the congregation, and leads the elders in providing shepherding care for the saints at SLPC.

Prior to SLPC, David served at Harvest USA working extensively with individuals and couples, developing curriculum and leading biblical support groups, supervising ministry staff, and teaching nationally on sexual issues and the Church. He is the author of Sexual Sanity for Men and God, You & Sex.

David is a graduate of Temple University and Westminster Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Jennifer, are the proud parents of young adult twins (who have left the nest) and elementary-age Irish twins. David is an avid reader, enjoys the outdoors (especially getting muddy in the garden), rides the rollercoaster of Philly sports fandom, and loves the early morning quiet with a good cup of coffee.
