Day 1 of Camp Treasure Island is a Success!

God blessed us with a (kind of) dry morning, excited campers, and a counseling staff that is fantastic! We had very few hiccups today, and the children were enthusiastic campers. What a great way to start the week!

A few reminders for your week...

  • Covid - since the numbers in our area are on the rise, we ask that you monitor your children and keep them home if they show signs or symptoms of any sickness.
  • Pick up procedure - we are trying a new pickup procedure in an effort to slow the children down before they run out the doors and straight to your cars. It seemed to go pretty quickly today, and we didn't see some of the sprinting across the parking lot that we have seen before. I know that the packed parking lot looks very intimidating, but we were all out of there and on the road in 15 minutes! It's hard to believe, but true. The Marple Police Department sent an officer to change the lights, and when that happens, we can get out fairly quickly.
  • Bathing suits - starting tomorrow, the children will get WET. Please send them in a bathing suit under their clothing, and with a towel. Children don't really need backpacks or water bottles, but a towel is important! We do have water stations all over campus and they are always welcome to get a cup of water.

Family Night! Thursday night, from 7:00 - 8:00 is our Family Night Celebration. Please join us to hear the children sing a song, watch a slide show of the week, and hear what your kids have been learning in Bible lessons all week. We will have make your own ice cream sundaes to celebrate!

Remember, tomorrow is Crazy Hat Day! We can't wait to see what fantastic hats the kids come wearing in the morning!

Thank you for trusting us with your children. We are having a great week already!
