From the Editor’s Desk ~ Kathryn Burling

Mission Statement: Our mission is to encourage, to bring hope, to unite our church body by weaving a common thread through our faith community in Christ—with our stories, prayers, and praises.

"For as the earth brings forth its bud, As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations." (Isaiah 61:11)

Welcome Spring 2022

All Creatures Great and Small

Each little flower that opens

Each little bird that sings

He made their glowing colors

He made their petals and wings

The spring edition of Common Threads brings the brightness and freshness of new life, starting with, well, with…breath. Breathe in deeply—the breath God has given. Embrace the aroma of garden-fresh spring air. Listen to a robin’s song. Furthermore, embrace the peace—the peace that passes understanding, as our hearts and minds begin to dwell on the approaching Palm Sunday, followed by Holy Week, the Lord’s Supper, on to Good Friday. Then comes the ultimate—Resurrection Sunday! Those turn of events brought a newness of life, like never before and never again. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Great Are You Lord

You give life, You are love
You bring light to the darkness
You give hope, You restore
Every heart that is broken
And great are You, LORD

It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only

Great are You Lord!!

Within the squares of Common Threads this springtide, check out, The Pastor’s Note—all about tapping the Sugar Maple—fascinating! Take time to reflect on The Garden of our Hearts, Devotional. Also, find out what our children are up to, and don’t miss the article on the wonderful way the youth are premiering their talents. The craft found in this quarterly…good for the young and the old. Have fun with The Easter Story Word Search, too. The Pamoza’s Mission entry is very important. And there is so much more—so be sure to click onto every quilt square. Relax, breathe deeply and enjoy!
