How did you come to faith in Jesus Christ?

I think the seed was planted back in the late 1960s when, as a teenager, I went to a Billy Graham Crusade with the Church of the Nazarene in Sharon Hill. I was raised Catholic, so I wasn't encouraged to read the Bible. Like I said, a "seed was planted", but it took a while to grow and I didn't come to the Lord until 1983. I was in the middle of a Bible study (purely out of intellectual curiosity) with a group from Lansdowne Bible Chapel, a Plymouth Brethern Assembly church, when the "lightbulb went on"
and the Holy Spirit revealed the Truth to me! I got baptized in 1984.

Is there a particular person or event in your life that had a big impact on your faith?

My sister and brother-in-law, God bless 'em, spent at least 10 good years sending me tracts and trying to witness to me.  They were as surprised as I was when I came to the Lord!  I called them up that evening to share the good news!

How did you find Springton Lake Presbyterian Church?

With my GPS.  No seriously, I had met Bob DiGiorgio prior to going,he told me about the church, and I decided to check it out!

Tell us about your family. Where did you grow up and have you lived in other places besides Pennsylvania?

Where did you grow up and have you lived in other places besides Pennsylvania?: I am single. I grew up in Broomall.  I spent two years home-ported in Yokosuka, Japan, on the aircraft carrier USS Midway. Then I spent a year on the Helicopter carrier USS Okinawa in San Diego and Long Beach, California. As you probably guessed, my sister and brother-in-law are Christians, and came to the Lord about 10 years before me.  They currently reside in Beckett, New,Jersey. After I got saved, I was blessed to have my mom and dad come to the Lord through attendance in Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia, and see them both get baptized! My mother, Ruth, whom some of you know, lives with me in Broomall. She has her own amazing journey of faith story that I hope she'll share on this website.

What do you do for a living?

I'm a Senior Home Companion for Home Instead

What do you do for fun?

I'm a bit of a movie fanatic, and besides going to see something current that interests me, I've also gone down to several fan conventions in Maryland from time to time. I also own a few guns and I like to go target shooting.

How do you see the gifts God gave you at work in your vocation or ministry?

The Lord has given me a compassion for others, particularly senior citizens, and all the issues they have. I hope that my work with my clients goes beyond just"doing a job".

What is one thing about you that most people would be surprised to know?

I'm a diehard fan of the 3 Stooges and Godzilla movies.

What aspiration do you have for Springton Lake 10 years from now?

Whether our numbers increase, or stay just the way they are, I pray that our congregation stays on track as the wonderful God-fearing, solid Bible-teaching church that we are, despite what our nation may evolve into.

What book have you read that you think would be helpful to others?

Jesus Freaks: Stories of Those Who Stood For Jesus (by DC Talk and Voice of the Martyrs) Mere Christianty by C.S. Lewis A Man Called Peter by Catherine Marshall
