Walking With Jesus
During four Wednesdays in October from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at SLPC, Rick and Becki Marshall will lead a special class for children in grades 3-6. Each meeting will have a lesson with discussion on the basics of the Christian life, followed by a pizza dinner (food works wonders). The children will be ready for pick-up at 6:30 p.m. The goal is to work with the parents and caregivers to help our children better understand: The Bible; God; Human nature; Jesus Christ our Savior; the Church and what it means to be a follower of Jesus. In our tradition, when a child can express their faith clearly to their parents and our Elders (the Session) they are ready to participate in the Lord’s Supper eventually leading to full church membership. This is just one more step to help the next generation understand our Faith in the hope that they will say with conviction: “Lord, to whom shall we go?
