WOMEN’S EVENING BIBLE STUDY GROUP The Wednesday Evening Bible Study meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., beginning September 8 with a study of Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians. Women are welcome to bring needs, share concerns, and be changed by letting God speak to their hearts and minds. Come meet at Nyla DiGiorgio's house, 319 Lester Road, Springfield, PA 19064. For more information, please contact Nyla at ny_digiorgio@hotmail.com or 610-544-4193.

WOMEN’S WEDNEDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY GROUP Women’s Morning Bible Study opens on Wednesday morning, September 15, and runs through the end of April. The group meets at 9:45 a.m. upstairs here at the church, and winds up around 11:00 a.m. Kay Schaul will lead a study of 1 Peter. Please register on Sign-Up Sunday when the clipboards are out, so we can plan for the size and the needs of the group! The study method is inductive with discussion focusing on understanding God’s truth and how it applies to daily life. Our gathering is intended to foster relationships to encourage and support one another. Friends are welcome to participate. Child care is provided at no cost. For more information please contact Kay Schaul at 610-642-9387 or Donna Narron in the church office at 610-356-4550.

WOMEN'S DISCIPLESHIP CLASS  is held each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., September through June, in back of the sanctuary.

WOMEN'S FALL RETREAT is held each October at the Traber Center in Chester County. This year's retreat, "Wonder Full World,"  will take place October 22-24.  Mail-in registration opens in September; the registration form is in the retreat brochure, found in the church lobby and here from the website.

WOMEN'S EPIPHANY TEA is scheduled for January each year here at SLPC, open to the entire community. The next tea is scheduled for January 11, 2011, 1:30-5:00 p.m.  Registration opens on-line here in October.

Our guest speaker will be Eastern University professor Dr. Margaret Kim Peterson, who lives in Ardmore, PA, and has authored  Sing Me to Heaven and Keeping House: A Litany of Everyday Life.   Dr. Peterson has a M.Div. from Gordon Conwell, and a Ph.D. in Church History from Duke University. With humor and insight, she can get right to the heart of what is hard about growing in Christianity today, watching divorce, alcohol, medication, and cultural diversions sidetrack development of a deeper relationship with Christ.

WOMEN'S CYCLING is held on occasional Saturday mornings—check EVENTS listed on the home page here for the date of the next morning spent in God’s creation!

YAK 'N' YARN meets weekly for craft or scrapbook projects to get acquainted with others and to share life experiences.

RWANDA BASKETS: SISTER TO SISTER  Please join in an opportunity to partner with our Rwandan sisters who have created a business to support their fractured families and rebuild their villages.  By developing traditional skills they have created a line of finely crafted baskets.  We are their market place through The Rwanda Basket Company (www.rwandabaskets.com).  Please join us in supporting our sisters in Rwanda by placing an order any time.
