OUR VISION

The purpose of Springton Lake Presbyterian Church is to be a local church that follows Jesus Christ for the good of our community, region, and world - for today and future generations.  Our vision is to see people find a relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  By this we are changed as God does amazing works of forgiveness and healing in our personal lives, our families and the world.

 

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

Springton Lake Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America.  We wholeheartedly embrace the historic Christian faith as expressed in the creeds of the early church (Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed).  We are also committed to the historic Presbyterian form of the Christian tradition by our subscription to the Westminster Confession of Faith.

 

OUR CORE VALUES

Our core values are those things that we value most in the life of our church.

Worship
First and foremost we seek to be a worshipping community 24/7/365 that brings to God the adoration which is rightfully and joyfully His. We plan our weekly service to be insightful, inviting, invigorating, and inspirational.

The Gospel and Discipleship
The Gospel changes people from the inside out - it is the good News that through Jesus Christ the power of God entered history to change the world and to enable us to address every problem and life sitution.  Believing the gospel makes followers of Jesus Christ who are findng their unique purpose in the world. 

Outreach & Global Missions
People matter to God, and therefore, ought to matter to the church. Jesus has asked us to join Him in the spread of the Christian messge in our community and around the world.  We do this by helping people use their spheres of influence and relatinships to demonstrate and shre the gospel of Jesus Christ and by supporting missionaries around the world.

Community
The Christian life is best lived out in relationships which nurture and encourage faithfulness to the Gospel.  People love and care for one another best in small groups designed to strengthen families and individuals.

Children, Youth, and Families
We seek to strengthen marriages and support parents through study and discussion of the Bible and by creating a fun-loving and safe environment for all ages.

Compassion
We meet the needs of our members, regular attendees and the community through ministries of mercy and compassion. The Gospel is best understood when followers of Christ show love and care.

Prayer
Prayer is the key to our spiritual health and vitality.  We pray that God would change our hearts and lives and the culture and world around us.
