ELDERS

The ruling leadership of Springton Lake Presbyterian Church is currently composed of six elders, collectively known as The Session.  Each elder has been elected by the congregation and ordained by the Presbyterian Church in America to provide spiritual guidance and direction to the church.  Our elders are ordained as servants of the Lord and serve on the session to provide for each of us. Please feel welcome to connect with any one of them at any time.  Please pray that the Lord would guide our elders as they shepherd us.

George Daly is the General Manager and CFO for Polymer Solutions International, Inc., a global plastics manufacturing company. He is a lifelong resident of Delaware County, currently residing in Newtown Square. He and his wife, Janet, have two grown children and two grandchildren and have been members of SLPC since 1979. DEACONS

Springton Lake Presbyterian Church is cared for by five deacons and two deaconesses.  These faithful stewards collectively known as The Diaconate, care for our facilities and our finances, maintain respnsibility for our church building and its use, and maintain responsibility for our funds.  In managing our expenditures, the deaconess also takes responsibility for mercy needs that we become aware of within our church, as well as requests we receive from others.  Please pray for the hearts of the people who serve us in these ways.

Mike Carr serves as Chairman of the Diaconate.  Mike is a Senior Real Estate Asset Manager with Wells Fargo Bank and has been in the real estate industry for over 30 years. Mike lives in Broomall with his wife, Terri and their son. He also has one grown son and one grown daughter. Mike‘s passion in life is fishing and his goal is to fish in all 50 states before he dies. He enjoys gardening, outdoor activities and cooking on the Barbecue Grill twelve months a year. Mike is the Chairman of the Diaconate and appreciates his team of Deacons and Deaconesses greatly for all of the work they do for the Congregation.

He has also been on staff for Immaculata University as a Supervisor of Student Teachers and as a School Leadership Consultant for the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. They have been married for 39 years, with three grown children and five grandchildren, all of whom reside in the area.
