Winter Seminar

Understanding Power and Vulnerability in Relationships: A Biblical Perspective

God calls us to care for the vulnerable and to use our power rightly.  In this seminar led by Dr. Barbara Shaffer, we will highlight some current issues and identify Biblical responses that are appropriate for all men and women who seek to follow Jesus in the 21st century. A licensed psychologist practicing in the field since 1980, Dr. Shaffer maintains a private practice near Chadds Ford, PA, as well as working with Diane Langberg, Ph.D. and Associates in Jenkintown, PA.  Dr. Shaffer has a Ph.D. from Temple University and a master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary.  Among her areas of special clinical interest are childhood sexual abuse in women, domestic abuse, personal and professional clergy issues, relationships, and marital counseling and education.   Women and Men are invited to attend this seminar to be held in Fellowship Hall.  This is for adults only.  No childcare will be provided.  RSVP: Cris Clark cristinemclark@verizon.net
