Star of Bethlehem
This 45-minute planetarium program created by Dr. David H. Bradstreet, Professor and Chair of Astronomy/Physics and Observatory/Planetarium Director at Eastern University, takes the audience back to Jerusalem and Bethlehem around 3 BC and attempts to look at the sky and find something that might have been interpreted as the famous Star which led the Wise Men to the Christ child. Versions of this program have been presented at Eastern University since 1972 and still sell out each year!
Two shows have been reserved for SLPC at the Eastern University Planetarium on Saturdays: December 1 and December 8 at 7:00 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. Seats are limited to 35 for each show. Please pay Shellina Marshall (children@slpca.org) by cash or check ASAP to reserve your seat!
Note: This is recommended for children in 1st grade and up.
