Missions Emphasis Sunday
Missions Sunday offers a look into the world of the missionaries supported by SLPC. This year, we will get a deeper look into the work of Pamoza International as we learn about the Malawi people.
During the Sunday school hour, all adults, high schoolers & middle schoolers will meet for a joint presentation downstairs in fellowship hall from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Nurseries and Sunrise Explorers will be open as usual for those in grade 5 and under. At 10:00 a.m., our worship service will include Malawi praise music and a Missions Moment by Temwa Wright and Dr. Mike Mtika from Pamoza. Rev. Larry Smith will deliver the message on this day.
Pastor Larry is the Assistant Pastor for Community Life at Epiphany Fellowship Church in Philadelphia as well as the U.S. coordinator for the Pastoral Training Institute of Malawi, where he trains pastors - including Pamoza’s Christian Outreach Coordinator, Timothy Gondwe. Sunday Explorers will have a special missions lesson for grade 5 and younger.
After the worship service, our Sunday Brunch will feature a 'Taste of Malawi' with samples of food from Malawi. Pamoza International will host displays in fellowship hall that present their programs in Malawi and ways that members of Springton Lake can get connected.
