One of our core values at SLPC is Outreach and Missions. We believe that all people matter to God and that they therefore ought to matter to the church. Jesus has asked us to join Him in the fulfillment of His Great Commission to ‘make disciples’ in every community around the world. We desire to equip people to use their spheres of influence and relationships to demonstrate and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Join us on Sunday, March 19, 2017 to get a glimpse of what God is doing around the world and how he might use you in that work as well!

All adults, high schoolers & middle schoolers will meet for a joint presentation in Fellowship Hall from 9:00-9:45. Pamoza International will give an overview of their programs in Malawi, including ways that Springton Lake members can get involved. Temwa Wright, executive director of Pamoza, Janet Daly and others from Pamoza will lead the presention and Q&A.

During our worship service, we'll have a taste of how Christ has affected Malawi as we learn praise music and pray for what the Lord is doing there.

Rev. Larry Smith will be delivering our sermon that morning. Larry is the Community Life Pastor at Epiphany Fellowship Church in Philadelphia and has been involved in urban multi-cultural ministry for over 27 years. He is also the US coordinator for the Pastoral Training Institute of Malawi, where he has been training pastors including Pamoza’s Christian Outreach Coordinator, Timothy Gondwe. In 2015, Larry published Jesus Life: Connected Living in a Disconnected World.

After the service, please join us in Fellowship Hall for our Missions Sunday brunch, including casseroles, coffee, and a "Taste of Malawi" food. Pamoza representatives will be on hand to answer your questions and suggest ways you can support the work in Malawi.

Revelation 7:9-10

[9] After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, [10] and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
