How did you come to faith in Jesus Christ?

I was raised in a Christian family and committed my life to Christ in 1979 at a Christian summer camp in Maryland. I remember the night well and the words the pastor spoke felt like they were directed at me, which is what God intended.

Is there a particular person or event in your life that had a big impact on your faith?

My father became a Christian when I was 12 years old.  A very significant illness was God's wakeup call to him, and I witnessed him growing in his faith and changing the way he lived up until his death 11 years later.

How did you find Springton Lake Presbyterian Church?

The PCA directory listed Springton as being close by to where we lived.

Tell us about your family. Where did you grow up and have you lived in other places besides Pennsylvania?

I was born and raised in Baltimore, and I met my wife at youth group at the church we both grew up in.  Since getting married, we have lived / worked in: New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, and London UK before settling here in PA.

What do you do for a living?

I am a banker responsible for fraud prevention and anti-money laundering operations for the largest bank in the US.

What do you do for fun?

I enjoy cooking, eating, and having time to hang out with my wife and four children.

How do you see the gifts God gave you at work in your vocation or ministry?

I am a practical planner, so running a large organization that spans multiple countries utilizes many facets of my gifts.  I am intellectually curious as well, and there are no shortage of problems requiring deep thinking and pragmatic fixing.

What is one thing about you that most people would be surprised to know?

I attended culinary school.

What aspiration do you have for Springton Lake 10 years from now?

That Springton would become a self-sustaining church: we would raise up the leaders we need for the next several generations to serve God and shepherd the communities around us.

What book have you read that you think would be helpful to others?

The Good Life by Charles Colson.
