How did you come to faith in Jesus Christ?

It was a 10 year journey with many people praying for me over 30 years ago. Someday, let's exchange stories over coffee. I’d like to hear yours as well.

Is there a particular person or event in your life that had a big impact on your faith?

My dad woke from a coma long enough to accept the Lord while a group of us were praying for him. If others weren’t there and didn’t remind me now and then, I would think I dreamt it.

How did you find Springton Lake Presbyterian Church?

God led me here by friends, meeting people through my own teaching at Cornerstone, and through the women’s Bible study.

Tell us about your family. Where did you grow up and have you lived in other places besides Pennsylvania?

My dad was an orthodox Jew who loved God. My mom was culturally Jewish but didn’t really believe. I have two sisters. We were raised in the Mt Airy section of Philadelphia and I have lived in the area my whole life. I come from a long line of “socialists” who were politically active and one side is all educators. My whole life has been dramatic training….as I said, my mother is Jewish.

What do you do for a living?

I am an educator.

What do you do for fun?

I like to read, cook, hang with friends, enjoy movies, play Scrabble, and pray. Alright, sometimes I watch mindless TV shows.

How do you see the gifts God gave you at work in your vocation or ministry?

I saw each day I taught as a ministry. I realized that I really worked for God. How many days did I embarrass Him? I am so glad for grace.

What is one thing about you that most people would be surprised to know?

I am 5'9" tall.

What aspiration do you have for Springton Lake 10 years from now?

I want Springton Lake to keep being a warm welcoming place that shows the love and grace of Jesus, follows His teachings, serves the community, and is a gathering place of prayer.

What book have you read that you think would be helpful to others?

I recommend Derek Prince, Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose.
